(Hello family and friends!)
Hej hej :)
Hej hej :)
Its a beautiful day in Sweden! Got the apartment cleaned and now there are clothes all over they place. Haha the dryer we use doesn't work very well. We would put it in twice but doing laundry already takes 4 hours.. inte bra! So I think it's funny that the letters i get now are from 2 weeks ago. So far I've just got one from my mom and we had already talked about everything in emails the Monday before. It's fun though. Getting letters makes your day and both me and Syster kiser have only got 1 letter each since we've been here. I'm sorry I always talk about letters.. its just whats on my mind when I'm emailing. This keyboard I'm on is super weird to type on because it has the Swedish letters too and they put things in a weird place.
My feet are okay. Don't worry too much mom ;) I do my best not to make it worse anyway. Syster Kiser likes to run in the morning and my shoes are TERRIBLE. I only run with her sometimes. Our plan is to have her run around the park by our house and I can do what I want or what I can do inside the park. "sight and sound"-seems to be harder actually being in the mission field. I'm having so much fun though! The people here are great. Our members are amazing. The bishop and his wife are absolutely amazing as well. There was a sister missionary in the MTC from Sweden going to salt lake city-temple square and so we had met there, but she came home early and now were in the same ward. Sweet right?? She's gonna start coming on teaches with us, which is great because.. haha well Swedish can be hard to understand and she is a Swede!
Last night we had our first member dinner and the bishop had us over. Lots of fun! The houses here are so quaint. The homes are simple and yet very pretty. The lawns are pretty wild too. They don't lay grass down so its whatever grows and there are tons of wild flowers everywhere. I really wouldn't mind living here. The sounds you hear are fun too. I felt like I was out camping. Very peaceful! Oh and we were picking cherries to take home and there were horses next door haha my bad.. I was feeding them and haha I accidentally shocked the horse! My arm hit the electrical fence and both the horse and syster kiser jumped so high. Haha whats funny is she is afraid of horses and didn't want to come close. Yeah my bad. Oh! we found wild strawberries!! Basically the smallest little thing I've ever seen and the sweetest. We ate them before we got home.
That's so not cool that Rachel got sick again. Me and her can not stay healthy. I feel like I've been somewhat better since being on a mission though. Who knows though.. its kind of a 6 month thing for me. So I'm guaranteed to get sick 3 times atleast.
Yes Syster Kiser is very pretty. She has been a good trainer too. I'm very lucky to have got her. We're lucky to be in Halmstad too. This place is seriously Vacker! Our investigators are.. haha um "frustrating".. yeah that's a good word. We have 2 new ones. They are Muslim and really just wanna bash and things. Really not fun. Syster Kiser gets sucked into it so those appointments I'm not going to look forward to. She says if that's all they wanna do we'll drop them.
Okay so you were saying that nursery was fun and hard of course. I wish so badly the ward was big enough to have a nursery. Try paying attention in relief society when 1 year old twins are going crazy and so is their older sister. Haha besides that the whole thing is in Swedish and I don't understand it all. Its fun though! Church is where I get to hear and practice the most Swedish. You wouldn't believe how many people here are not from here and don't learn the language. I find it funny that they do all know English though. One way or another everyone will be taught :) Funny story! We went trakting for the first time and a woman saw us from her window. She thought we were lost, but we were actually going to her house next. Well she asks if we speak English and starts talking to us. She says she isn't interested in what we have to say and then again says..where are you from? So we tell her America and she says, "Cuz you have really bad English." hahaha Yeah so I guess I can't speak 2 languages.
I can't believe that trailer story haha that was hilarious and gross. I sure hope he didn't get anything on him. That's like your nightmare when your a kid.. like you'll fall into a porta potty and who knows.. die! at least you'd wanna die.
Lastly I just wanna say how much I love the Lord and how grateful I am for the chance he gave me to be here. I know he knows me very personally and knows what I need and does everything he can to help me accomplish those things. He does the same every person. Watching people better understand and accept God and the Savior is absolutely beautiful. Its what everyone needs! The gospel is the door to success and happiness. And that door is open to everyone. All the time! We use our agency to make mistakes everyday, but remember to also use your agency EVERYDAY to make the right choices. The door is open. Its your choice.
Love love love all of you!!! I pray for you everyday :)
Love Syster Sprague
