Conference weekend rocked! Both specialized training
and general conference. I wish we could have had more investigators
comet though. I was really uplifted by the messages this conference. I
received many answers to my questions. Makes me totally happy too
because I was promising everyone that their questions would be answered.
My problem was sitting down and figuring out what I wanted to know.
Once I though of one though they just started to flow. There was one
question in particular that I wasn't sure how to word so I didn't
actually write down but was certainly in my heart and when I got the
answer it was like a ton of bricks! It came 3 times too!! They built
upon each other until I couldn't deny it. I am a daughter of God and I
know He loves me!
Preach My Gospel has been awesome in helping me to teach and train
Sys.Strömberg. This week we were in Chap.9 with finding people. There
are so many good ideas there. My faith in that God places people in our
path or us in their path is strengthened every time I read that chapter.
It is very easy for me to forget that often times the people we meet
and talk to were lead there just as we were. The white handbook has been
so nice reading with someone who doesn't know all the guidelines or why
we have them. As we read everyday and discuss different parts I have a
strong desire to follow every part with exactness because that is how
the Lord can really bless us. That is through obedience! Man he loves us
and really wants to bless us. Someone said that in conference and my
heart jumped. I know that is true because I feel it and I see it
daily. A Scripture this week that I have really enjoyed and helped me
prepare for conference was Mosiah 2:9 And these are the words which he
spake and caused to be written, saying: My brethren, all ye that have
assembled yourselves together, you that can hear my words which I shall
speak unto you this day; for I have not commanded you to come up hither
to trifle with the words which I shall speak, but that you should
hearken unto me, and open your ears that ye may hear, and your hearts
that ye may understand, and your minds that the mysteries of God may be
unfolded to your view.
We have many people who just don't want to meet
regularly but that are super positive. We are really focusing on finding
right now. We both know that will come down to speaking to many people
and working with the members. Sys.Strömberg is shy when it comes to
speaking to a stranger on the street though. She can beat herself up a
bit but she is doing an awesome job and things are only looking up! As
we keeping working hard and doing our best we'll only find more people!
Dude could you believe the age limit changes!! Yeah I
kinda would've liked to go earlier but then I couldn't have paid for
the mission. It was crazy though I was sitting with one girl that is 20
and just waiting to go and she burst into tears.. duh! She will have her
papers in by next Sunday. Rocks! I hope Gavin gets to go soon. We all
laughed here about the culture change that's gonna go down at BYU.. no
more freshman or anyone under the age of 21 especially girls. Everyone
will be 23 and older!.. What the... Poor Sys.Strömberg is 19 and not
sure if she will serve a full time mission now. She knows she is here
now for a purpose though. She will get an answer soon enough though. The
Lord knows what he is doing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAIGE!! Let him know I have met
someone for him. She just turned 3 and is the cutest little girl!!! Haha
and she is swedish!
Thanks for all you do and the support! Have a wonderful week!.. Talk to you next week :)
Love Syster Sprague
