Hejsan alla!
So how is everyone? If you haven't written me yet.. you should haha. I absolutely love letters and I haven't yet let them become a distraction so don't put that in there if you do write. It's so funny here.. the only thing that sets apart all these ground hog days is my own journal writing and letters. They are amazing!
Hmmm.. I know lots happens in a week but I sit down here to write and can't think of much and hate the stuff I wrote down. Well lets see.. today is cool. I've been on splits all morning and its just been a crazy week. Both of my systers are sick and both sing in the special choir. They go to that every morning so I get to be with the Norwegian sisters. Love them! This special choir is because half or so of the general authorities are arriving RIGHT NOW. Pretty cool. It's because we have all the new mission presidents coming in for training. its just under 200 of them. I should or my whole distrikt which is 8 of going to Sweden should meet him Friday. "I'm so excited!" Haha were so deprived of music here.. but i do love all the music we do have so its okay.
A quote-"There are two types of people in this world-the ones you love and the one you don't know." I can't wait to go to Sweden and meet all the people and fall in love with all of them. One of our elders doesn't quite love my kamrat syster and he said what if they just bug you? Haha my teacher, Bro. Harris said then you don't know them well enough. I like this quote because you can learn to love anyone! But.. It doesn't mean it will always be easy. If you can looking at people through the eyes of the savior and serve them with charity it will just come.
The language honestly gets harder haha the more you learn the more you realize you don't know. Kinda crazy! Still exciting though! I'm gonna have a sweet accent someday haha maybe.. for sure I'm not gonna be able to spell. Hopefully my mom proof reads and spell checks these because I'm already bad at English and Swedish. I can see now why they say the missionaries that have to learn a language don't get to know the deep doctrine stuff and those speaking English get a lot of doctrinal study. We sit in class and learn it in English then in Swedish and then go right into speaking it and practicing saying and using the new words. "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!" some days.. haha yesterday we learned how to teach the word of wisdom or visdomsordet.
During the fireside on Sunday I realized something I love about the MTC. Were sitting there listening to Kay McIff and I didn't feel like what he was saying was very relevant to me so it was hard to pay attention. Honestly most people around me were falling asleep (haven't done it once:)) but the cool thing is everyone really is listening and we want to be there and be spiritually fed. He told a story and as soon as he hit the punch line everyone laughed. Oh and when the name comes on the screen right at the beginning EVERYONE gets out there notebooks and a pen.
Love ALL of you!
Love Syster Sprague
