So just got back from the temple. Absolutely love it there. I feel like i see family when i go.. haha cuz every one is so happy and friendly. It makes life feel more normal too. As much as i really enjoy it here..it becomes very tiring and just long long days. Today is 5 weeks though! Talk about crazy.
The language is great. I'm really loving it. Somedays I understand more than others but its all a process. It sure is a beautiful language though. Many of the ones on our same floor make me laugh. Like dutch.. haha they sound so funny. Way cool that we can all talk to eachother though. There are a lot of words that aren't the same obviously.. its a different language, but they are close enough too. Our Norway district is pretty cool. There is and elder or (Eldste) That looks so much like my cousin Sam haha makes me laugh. Although he's much shorter and doesn't have the cool blue eyes.
So.. I must say I'm pretty jealous my family all just got back from lake powell. Haha my dad said, "I know you will be missed but know that you are where the lord wants you now so take a moment to feel bad that you are not going with us but we cant go with you to stockholm so its alright." That was it! Haha he is such a nerd. My district finds him pretty funny now. Oh yeah hey dad! You look like Bro. Mangum.. not sure I said that yet. But its fun to have him aroung you two are a lot alike. I basically have my brother here too.. One of the elders here is just like him! Same sense of humor is wierd! But fun to feel like I never left home.. or that this is home too.
Favorite quote (from preach my gospel) it applys to many things and is kinda why i like it so much. "To accomplish _______ it takes one decision and one action at a time." You can feel in the blank for yourself. Mine is filled with haha many things. oh yeah another good quote for the sisters was "We are apostl-ets"-Bro waits my branch pres. He was going off what many of the general authority say to the elders. THats that the elders are very much like the same as the apostles. we are living similar lives and we share in the same purpose. Bro waits wanted to point out that we share in it too. Pretty cool!
Hmm.. :( So last thursday I woke up with a cold sore. Not so bad I cant handle that. Sunday I woke up with a second and Monday I woke up and my lip looked like i had been punched haha. My poor face. Well I went to the clinic and got an antibiotic for it and Its doing much better as of today.
One thing I'm working on.. remembering I have 2 ears and 1 mouth :) and that I need to really listen. I promise I'm not that bad. I just have a habit of thinking about what I'm going to say next. Its hard though because I don't know the language well enough. Oh yeah every lesson we teach now is in swedish.
