HallÄ!
Coolest thing EVER happened yesterday after church. Our friend is getting baptized!!! AGH! She has been investigating the church for 16 years and decided to make a date yesterday. Oh it was amazing. Right after sacrament she wanted to see the bishop and 10 minutes later he comes out and asked S.Kiser and I to come and join. We were like hmm... this is really good or this really bad. It was good
Her date is set for Oct 8th. When we suggested this Saturday she about fell off her chair. ha ha what a swede. Likes to take things nice and slow. You would think 16 years would be enough.. ha ha YAY!! The crazy thing is.. we have been teaching her but really all we did was back off and be patient she did it all on her own. We just answered questions. Oh I love the gospel. I love the comfort it brings to people and I love that when you know.. you really know!
So this last week we have been dropping of love letters.. I never realized all the things missionary work would entail. A less active named Jeff (from Colorado) watched PS. I Love You and decided to do something like it while he traveled to the states. Ha ha the only thing was he needed someone he could trust to drop off a letter everyday in the mail.. ha ha who better than missionaries who are trustworthy AND obsessed with mail. Oh yeah the cool thing was Jeff actually found us. He saw us biking and figured it was missionaries from our dress and my bulky shoes. So thank you Rachel and Jennifer! The shoes caught someones attention for the good.
Well things are coming along and being a missionary is still everything I dreamed and just as hard. Finding joy in the journey is what I do everyday and I'm happy to do it. Its much harder to be happy when you're not doing it. Too many people only see the hard things going on and miss all the good. I have found so much good goes on but for some reason its not what you remember. So I have a calender just for all the good and all the miracles. Everyday I write one thing. When I get discouraged going back and reading the things reminds me good that things are happening.
Love ya tons and miss you all tons.
Love Syster Sprague
