It's me.. again!

Hej hej,

 

Letters from home say that Utah won BYU haha no I did not pray for that dad. Pretty sweet though. Really not fun to watch anyone get killed like that though.. so maybe next year will be better.. it sure better be. I might be able to watch it. Oh so its officially fall. I forgot to say that last week. Sept 23rd was the fall equinox. Now everyday we see less and less sun. Still the days are a lot like home. The leaves are just starting to change. We have had some crazy fog though. It lasts for 12 hrs at a time too. So thick you hardly see the house next door.

 

I'm so jealous of my family. They went to Lake Powell again. I loved the pictues of aunt Marie getting that prickly pear out of uncle Brads tongue. That was priceless. You're right mom.. Life is a circus! Sam thinks he's so funny. I'm sure none of you missed the two of us. We just kill you in hand and foot. Can't wait to do it again too. Does sam read this? I mean Elder Ritchie. haha I want to write him but I don't know his address anymore. They move so much.

 

Talk about a fun week. Conference, planning an over due baptism, many talks with the mission president. Oh and a I received a wonderful blessing.

 

Conference was amazing!! I was so sad to see that really no one shows up. Saturday we only got to watch the relief society session and the 1st session and the only ones there were the Bishop, his wife Senja, and us. Ha talk about a turn out.. not. Anette our baptismal date did come on Sunday though. Ha ha yup and that was about it. So sad too because I found so many answers to questions. Questions I have. Questions my investigators have. The prophet and apostles really are men of God and have direct revelation for the whole world. Its such a beautiful thing. Can you believe Provo will have another temple??? AMAZING. I wonder if it will be done by the time I get home.. who knows.. they go up so fast these days.

 

We actually just finished the baptismal program. We are all set for this Saturday. She also just had her interview. AGH I can't wait. She is the sweetest lady. She found answers from conference too. Ha ha she just happened to come to the right session. It was like they spoke right to her. Ha ha oh and then today we were looking for a good scripture for her program. She really didn't know which to choose because she has so many favorites. (when you've been reading for 16 years.. i would hope so.) So we were in Moroni and she goes to read a favorite scripture and when she finishes she says that wasn't it. We were shocked because it was amazing and totally fit with her and of course baptism. We decided she was led to it and that's what we picked. Oh and she has the old translation of the Book of Mormon and it is better then the new one. It was perfect for her. Moroni 8:26 "And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, which comforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall come, when all the saints shall dwell with God."

 

So.. The mission president called us quite a bit this week. Syster Kiser thought about going home early. The best time for all the family to make it to the wedding without waiting till summer would be Christmas break. She misses the break by 3 weeks. The area presidency and president Newell both advised against not going home early. Shocking to me actually.. girls are usually counseled to get married. Anyway... yeah she didn't take that so easily. She even got to talk to her fiance. Yup after conference Saturday night we hurried home so she could get a call from him. Crazy stuff. The president will probably be calling me in the next few days to see how I am doing with all of this and ask if I think I need a change basically. I want to stay in Halmstad, but I do feel like change for both of us would be good.

 

My blessing:) So I had requested one and the President was going to do it but then couldn't. He asked who I would have do it. Didn't matter to much to me. On Thursday my district leader gave me one. This blessing was different. Because it was not only affecting me, but I was promised that the things I would be blessed with would also reach my brother. I know that men who are worthy to hold the priesthood have many responsibilities and true power to act in Gods name. I have been healed and blessed beyond words through simple men who have kept themselves worthy. Worthy to stand in place for God and be his mouth piece. Just like our beloved prophet. A simple man with profound power from God.

 

Thanks for the support! I heard the government is even giving me money.. I knew they would eventually see it my way ha ha. Taxes will be the death of me.
