Nära och Kära

 

How is the weather mom asks me.. good question.. I always forget what I should talk about in these letters and then I just ramble. Haha. Komma igen (come on) Sam (Elder Ritchie) give your mom at least 2 paragraphs!! :)  So you asked is it spring yet?? Well I think so ha ha I think the weather here is worse than Utah in the sense that you never know what it will be. We never had much snow at all. Maybe a month total and it wasn't all together. Right now there is NONE and we haven't had any since Feb 14th it was Valentines day. That was a beautiful day! There was snow everywhere and then it was gone by night. Some days are quite sunny and it is getting lighter earlier and the sun goes down much later too. Its super cool to see the change. I feel like its been drastic. All the sudden we had sun. The only thing is we have many days that are just cloudy. Super cloudy and you never see the sun. The best is you see Swedes just stop and stand where ever sun light is shinning.

 

I really need to send pictures but we email at the library here so that isn't possible really. I will really try to get some sent though in the next month ha ha. Time in the mission is so weird. Syster Erickson is just about dead.. everyone asks me how it feels to kill a missionary. I would say for this particular missionary its really whatever. She is so focused there isn't any problems there. I would even say its nice because I am reminded how precious time is. How time is such a gift. Some people aren't blessed with that much time and those who live out a full life are so lucky I think. Also I think about what I need to do now to be prepared for that day... like buying souvenirs. You really don't wanna wait your last month. Not smart. If you want anything please let me know now and please be specific :)

 

It has been a wonderful week in Alingsås. Syster Erickson has let me take over and be the senior companion and things have been going very well. We have a huge list of referrals from members that we pray over every night and when we have dinner with members we can follow up on their friends and see if they are ready to actually meet with us. It has been going great. We were so happy to see in testimony meeting yesterday how many people talked about missionary work. I feel like everyone is feeling apart of the work as they should. This week we also had the chance to do splits with Jönköping. They went amazing! I feel like Syster Erickson and Syster Juker needed to learn from one another and so did Syster Schneiber and I. Syster Schneiber is an amazing missionary. We had quite an amazing day together! I even learned a strength or talent I have.. I'm adaptable. I have seen with my companions that I am really good at adapting to them and there needs. Interesting really. Hey I got a wedding announcement from Hilary, S.Kiser, my trainer. That was super cool. SHe gets married on the 10th so this week. I'm so happy for her!

 

We have been blessed with Manal from Lebanon who is very prepared. Teaching her has been a huge joy. Its very nice to see the spirit work in others just like it does us. She wants to meet with us all the time which is nice and super easy since she lives in our apartment. We finished a lesson with her last night and she turns to us and says.. its so simple. She has grown up Christian but in the Catholic church and hasn't always agreed with everything. She says this just makes sense. She really wants us to teach her husband too, but he is not quite as religious so we will see how it goes. She saw us last week too and said, "I really need to buy a skirt too." We explained she doesn't need to wear skirts everyday like we do. Agh I love her! We are also going to see a baptism this week with her.. man I cant wait!!!

 

Dude Kashea got her wings? Does that mean she can fly me around the world someday?? Congratulations Kashea I love you!!!!
