Puddle Jumping!

Well Hallå!!

We had a lot of rain this week, which could have been really gloomy but we actually had a lot of fun. Last night we had to walk an hour home while it poured rain and  by the end we were jumping in puddles. It was a lot of fun! We even met a man walking home and he borrowed our umbrella. Tomorrow he wants to meet too. That was cool. Its amazing. Just being happy really makes a difference to other people.

You know how much fun it is to be a missionary?! Seriously! We got a referral from a member and then when we couldn't meet with her because she is so busy. She works in a restaurant near the church and that where our member met her. It was super cool. I love to be a missionary.. we get to stalk people and not feel bad about it. Its for a good reason. So we went and ate the restaurant and then ended up talking about all of her questions and she is actually super interested. She is just too busy right now. We were able to go back and give her a Book of Mormon and it was so so cool. She is very humble woman that believes in God and really just wants to understand the truth and why there are so many churches. We are teaching another man who just started to believe in God. That is super cool because we found him through the ward activity when we went out with the young women and young men. The young women actually found him!!

Wow zone conference was on Friday and wonderful! We learned so much and the coolest thing happened that night. After learning a lot about the fall and practicing how to teach it we actually got to use it the same day. There is a bus driver that we have spoken to before and he drove us home from the station that night after conference. As soon as we stepped on the bus he asked about Adam and Eve. He is a Jehovah witness and sounds pretty active. We had a nice conversation with him and were about explain very simply the fall. It was amazing! After a long day.. that was like a nice cherry on top. At conference a man from the Utby ward came just to give his testimony and talked about how wonderful it is to have the ward grow so much. The ward had 15 new members in the year 2011.. haha and he talked about how sad it would be if they didn't see growth or have new life in the church. Its like new life coming into the world is what he talked about. It reminded me of Utah though.. I had never seen a convert baptism until my mission. My companion couldn't even believe that. Makes sense though when there are so many members and we get baptized at 8.

I forgot last week to tell about one of the YSA here, Felix  he is waiting to go on his mission right now and he did the coolest thing last week. He has a friend in Alingsås that is super inactive and last week when he visited with her she went to have a smoke asked her not to. They started talking and he asked her if she wants to quite smoking. She said yes and he told her, "If you read Mormons Bok I can promise you that you will quite smoking." She asked him, "How thick is it?" HaHa I was so astonished! That is so bold and just wow. Members here really blow my mind sometimes. Well now this girl is beginning to read the Book of Mormon! We had dinner with her family the next day and her mom told us all about it. She was so excited. Wow the influence our friends can have on us!!

I have totally ran out of time but I have some sad/good news. Manal flew home to Lebanon for a little while or long while! Not sure how long yet, BUT the president said that we can skype her. YAY!!! I hope we can keep it going the same until she comes back I don't want her to be forgotten. That would make me so so sad. I'm excited to continue teaching her even if its only skype. Its like really being with them!

Have a wonderful week! Thanks for all you do.

Love Syster Sprague
