Nära och Kära
What an interesting week. With me being sick and not really
understanding what is wrong. The weather changes 4 maybe 5 times a day.
No district meeting was quite sad. It might have been the longest week on
my mission and yet I had tons of joy too. So maybe quite possibly the
best week too. I think Syster Schneiber and I figured out a little bit
more how to rely on the Lord. Because what we planned was not going
through and neither were our back-up plans. Somehow though with more
time in planning before we left everyday we found as much time to find
and teach with the same hopes of baptism as before. I love the Lord and
his timing. He knows where we need to be and when. I think I have to say
the biggest miracle of my week would be meeting Sussi. She is the first
person to let us in when we just knocked. It was not the meaning to
just go tracting but we were looking for an old investigator. After she
explains she is not him and we talk about who we are and what we do..
she asked us to come in! This is also the first atheist I have ever
taught. My testimony was really strengthed from this experience. She is
searching I think but doesn't realize it. I hope to really be able to
teach her.
This timing thing is amazing. We have had so many
miracles this week with running into people at the right time or
stopping by at the right time. Last Saturday our dinner canceled on us
and we stopped by quite a few people before stopping by Leila who is
never home. And she was! We were able to teach her and 1 minute after
walking out the door we get a phone call. Syster Schneiber answers and
its her sister! Talk about timing! Her sister got married and totally didn't have permission but did anyway and she called at the best time. I
couldn't believe it. It really made her day to be able to talk to her
sister on her wedding day. Right now her brother wants to get married
too. That means no more weddings but her own when she is home. Man that
would be hard for me.
We had maybe a 2nd date haha it really isn't but when
its two guys and two girls and your eating it sure looks that way. Pär
is super cool and we are going to teach him tonight. He is good friends
with Viktor who goes on his mission this thursday to England. We are
excited to teach his friend while he's out.. can you imagine if he gets
baptized. Viktor is going to be such a good missionary I can't wait for
him. I hope he writes Pär and encourages him to get baptized! As a zone
right now we have a challenge to contact 2000 people before July so that
we can have a zone party on 4th of July. Man I can't wait! They are
calling it the 2000 stripling contacts. I love how they come up with fun
cute things to get us pumped.. I would hate to do it though.
Everyday we get a good laugh at the end of every study session.
Syster Schneiber has a watch that beeps every hour. So we begin and end
our studies at the sound of the beep. Go aaaaaannnnnnd stop! Haha makes
me feel like a race rather than a pleasant study hour. Anyway it all
started because obviously we both notice beep and one day at the end of
our companion study we are telling each other what we learned and we are
really into it. Its like one of the testimony meetings you never want
to leave... agh everyday of my life.. haha love it! So Syster Schneiber
who is very strict on time is at like a climax of what she has
learned is trying to talk fast she hears the sound of the gong and proclaims, "dang it!" And continues on faster. I start to crack up and
then so does she.. She's like do you know why I said that?? Of course I
did.. Ugh who can't hear that thing.. too bad your time is up.. its time
to learn some swedish it tells me.
Thanks for your support and prayers! Have a wonderful week!
