God knows YOU!!!

Hello family and friends

What a miracle... I know without a doubt that the second harvest is here. I love sharing the second harvest video members. Most of them don't realize the promises or need a reminder. We have one member in particular that has taken the challenge to share the gospel. She spends a lot of time with us and has make huge changes in her personal life. I would say she has become consciously active in the gospel. She spends a lot of time with us which has been great for all of us. She has two sons that are not baptized. She also has a less active daughter who is 15. This morning she, Linda, texted us and said that Mikael, her son, wants to be baptized! He is 10 years old AGH!! He is adorable. We gave them a Book of Mormon stories book and they read every morning. He said that when they read he feels good so she asked what he means by good and he said its like Christ is giving him a hug! He is excited to invite all of his friends and family. He is thinking Sept 14th or 15th

Guess what I got to do this week.. ? Yup clean the temple. They have been closed for 2 weeks and I guess its a lot of work. So we volunteered an hour of time. That morning we thought we wouldn't because S.J. has been feeling sick all week long. As we are in there she turns to me and and says, "Doesn't it just feel amazing." Yeah it did! We cleaned hangers.. that was it but it felt so good and it filled our spiritual buckets that's for sure.

Wow the scripture that hit me hard this week was defiantly Words of Mormon 1:8 "And my prayer to God is concerning my brethren, that they may once again come to the knowledge of God, yea, the redemption of Christ; that they may once again be a delight some people." I just felt like that was me.. that IS my prayer! It gave me a push to get out there and talk to everyone and also helped me to prepare to talk to my brother today.

Talk about the right place at the right time! We were walking home and of course we don't live in our area and it was late so we are just hurrying into the apartment and we pass a man with 2 big white dogs. We didn't think much of it but as we are speed walking to the apartment he stopped us and says, "Do you guys know Miriam?" Totally threw us off because he is like 60 and the Miriam we know is young like 30 and single. (She is adorable and dating a Finnish elder that got home in July) ps he is older too :)... haha anyway... We figure out it is the same Miriam and they used to work together. She has told him lots about the church and he is a little interested. So we had a nice conversation and it ended with him taking a Book of Mormon!! We got inside and both screamed haha how often does that happen. Man it was awesome! The second harvest will come when the members and missionaries work together! I'm so grateful too.. I can't imagine doing this work without members. People needs friends!!! I don't care if you're talkin about religion or not!

Sorry I don't always explain my subject.. its got to be confusing haha just super random sometimes. Today I am saying God knows you because last Monday I was feeling SUPER alone and Heavenly Father knew exactly was I was feeling and put exactly what I needed in my way so that I wouldn't feel that way anymore. I promise you he not only knows you but cares for you and understands your needs. He is there and his master plan covers everything and everyone. So I was feeling really down about my family back home and really not emotionally stable. We end up going to a dinner that night and doing a normal lesson to a family that we have never been to before. We usually teach the Plan of Salvation and ask for referrals. Sometimes and often times this means getting names of family and friends that need prayers and help to be ready for the gospel. Well........ I can't tell you how many times I have done this lesson plan now but this time it ended a little different. After getting these names of people they want us to pray for.. the mother asks, "Well do you guys have someone we can pray for?" Both S.J. and I lower our heads and began to cry. I have NEVER had someone ask if there is anyone I know that needs prayers. I am so thankful for this woman. She then gave us a hug after driving us home and says,"Here is a mothers hug." Yeah.. I cried again. My mom had written that day and used one of these  and says she is giving me a hug and that she needs one too. This woman had no idea the impact she made or the prayers she answered. I know that Heavenly Father sent her to us so that we wouldn't feel alone and so that we could know that he is there!

Thanks for all the prayers!
Love Syster Sprague
