...This
has been quite the week I would have no idea where to begin!! We had a
TV program come and follow us and it went super well! Talk about the
most stressful thing I have ever done. We couldn't have been more
blessed honestly! The weather, people we saw, and the spirit was there!
Both of the people that filmed us took a Book of Mormon and thanked us
saying they would love one. It was quite the experience! I'm thankful for the opportunity to find people in a different way. Sys.J and Syster
Talbot did their piano concert again but in Göteborg last night. It
went super well also. I don't think either of them made five mistakes
totally between the two of them and TONS of people came. That place was
packed and things went very smoothly. I was happy to see members from
both Alingsås and Västra Frölunda again and see all the friends they
brought. There were even investigators that I have taught who are
progressing a ton!
...In Preach My Gospel we studied a lot on teaching people not
lessons so we focused on teaching with the spirit and adjusting to your
investigators needs. We were also given the opportunity to teach
district meeting and do role plays along with this concept. I felt like
we learned a ton. There was one role play when we could only read a
scripture, bare testimony, or ask questions. You couldn't just talk and
teach. It was amazing. It made me realize how unfocused you can be
without good questions and applying everything to the investigator. You
find problems they might be having too and they are more open to tell
you because of course the spirit is there because you have been bearing
testimony the whole time.
...One awesome thing that happened was 2 months ago when I got to
Västerhaninge we had dinner with Fam. Henretta and asked them about
people they might have that we could start praying for so we can prepare
people for the gospel. Sven Henretta is the father in the family and he
gave us the name Danny. We have prayed for him every night for 2 months
and have not heard anything about him. Well the day that the TV came
and followed us we didn't have any investigators who would want to meet
us and we had asked Peter who is less active if we could teach his
friend Danny if we could teach him but he said no. Only because Danny's
son was to have a birthday that day. Well when we got to Peters house to
teach him.. there was Danny. It was an amazing blessing!!! We taught
Danny and the teach went super super well. We are going to teach him
again probably tomorrow and he wants to know more about the plan of
salvation. The best part about this was on Saturday we saw Sven outside
the temple and I asked him if he knew him. Because Danny had said he
knew a lot of members. Right as I asked him Sys.J remembered the name
that he gave us to pray for and it is the same Danny!!! It's been an
awesome week to say the least!
...wow Frida is totally at my house!! I love you Frida!! I was so
happy to hear that she got there and that everything is good. Well dad
Swedish is going GREAT. You can ask Frida how good or bad it is haha. I
love the language though.. so so much and guess what I will soon get
even better!! Because the girl I'm going to be training is a swedish
girl that is going on a short term mission. I can't wait!!! Her name is
Syster Strömberg and S.J. is moving to Jönköping. I am super sad to see
her go but I know it will be a good last stretch for my mission. Can't
wait!!
