(Jennifer & Rachel have birthday's this week)
Hej hej hej hej hej,
Så how goes it for everyone? I am doing amazing.. if you wanted to
know. Ha ha We had a super good week. Our investigators are honest
seekers of truth and are really progressive. We gave 4 of our
investigators to the elders this week. That was funny. We have
determined that we are great finders and must not be sutible for
teaching. No im kidding. We taught Zaher everything and he is getting
baptized this Sunday. Ha ha but we found out he lives on the border
and he is actually in Ubty's area. So we gave him over last week. Its
funny he calls us and gives us grief all the time. He really liked
Syster Jenson.. he asked her to do the confirmation. She was like oh..
ugh.. I don't hold the priesthood. Super funny! She'll just give a
talk instead.
There was baptism this last Saturday though and it was amazing!! We
sang a song called Come Unto Him for the musical number. (it was an
engligh baptism) But the tune was I Know My Redeemer Lives. It was so
good! Then did anyone watch the CES fireside last week?? Well we
didn't get it to us and watch it until this Sunday and Elder Packer
spoke. Near the end of his talk (which was AMAZING)(if you didn't
watch it.. DO) he asked that we listen to the closing song that the
choir would sing. It was Come Unto Him. The lyrics are amazing. Man
that word is a huge part of my vocabulary. If you look in the hymn
book I think its hymn #114 if you want to read them.
So my favorite person to teach right now, Tony, he said his first
prayer with us!!! He was too scared every time because all he knew was
the Lords prayer and didn't know how to just speak from his heart. It
was in Portuguese, but the spirit was so strong. We knew it was really
from his heart. He had the biggest smile when he was done. I wanted to
cry haha but I don't cry as much when I feel the spirit. Yay!! I have
been waiting for that day.
I don't have a lot of time today for emails because we are playing
football as a zone and having Thanksgiving dinner with everyone at the
center. So that is why P-day this week was moved to Tuesday. We also
have zone conference tomorrow so we have 5 sisters staying with us
tonight. Yay SLEEPOVER! 7 girls in a tiny apartment. Thats crazy. Some
of our Elders have 12 people in their apartments tonight. Everyone has
been scrambling for blankets and pillows. So fun. A lot of people have
been asking if I get Thanksgiving. I do. I have already had one
actually.. it was all indian food that was cool. One tonight and a
member dinner on Thursday. They are half American so were pretty
excited. It will be pretty ligate. Most people do celebrate though.
You would be surprised how americanized it is here. Or maybe you
wouldn't be but it's true they are. Someday a few generations down they
say the swedish language will be gone. Everyone speaks English. So
basically if you want to speak swedish don't say you are from America
they love it and want to speak English.
Love you!!
Love Syster Sprague
