The Red Jacket

Hej hej allihopa!

This week in Västra Frölunda has been good.  I'm doing great and so are my companions. We have been looking forward to Zahers baptism and have been teaching him often. We found out that he is actually in Utby's area so tomorrow we will be giving him over. We'll just have to find some other people to baptize before Christmas. We have a goal as a mission to get 60 baptisms before Christmas. I think we have another like 40 something to go. So as a companionship we a goal to get 2. It it totally possible but so far has not been super easy. Not when you have to give all your investigators to other missionaries. Like we started teaching his best friend who was wondering a little bit about the church. His name is Ali. After we started to teach him we found out he is also in Utby's area. But things are still going strong.

We have another progressive man named Tony. We meet with him a lot. He is awesome. It just takes a lot of time because we need an translator. He speaks Portuguese but like an older Indian dialect of Portuguese. Oh and he can't read. He will get baptized as soon as he feels like he really understands. He is great. Comes to church every week! Yesterday was the first day he missed and he had left his phone at home so as soon as he could he called and explained everything. He is such an honest person. You could tell he really felt bad.

My companions kept trying to tell me to get checked out at the vårdcentral which is basically a hospital. I finally went to the vårdcentral because Syster Newell the Presidents wife thought it would be the best thing. I have had chest pain. It took 2 hours just waiting to talk to anyone. Once they get you in though you get thrown all over the place till they're done. I got an EKG taken. They couldn't find anything wrong with my heart. Good news :) oh and we taught a man who was also waiting an eternity. Anyway it was all good and so they sent me off with some strong ibuprofen. I guess it is just my muscle or the nerves.. they couldn't explain it. All I know is it hurts.

The man we taught was really cool and nice. He had even met with the missionaries before. He seems super interested and the discussion was centered on God which was cool because he is Muslim. I guess he doesn't agree with the Muslim religion but really just thinks any church just gets in the way of you and God. Oh and when he realized that we cant date.. they discussion went kinda down hill. He wasn't so interested anymore. I hate that. My companions think it has to do with my red jacket. Here in Sweden you NEVER have people come up and talk to you.. maybe if they are foreign. But when I wear my red jacket people talk to me or us. Its absolutely crazy. One day I had 5 people come up to me.

This morning during my personal studies I thought of the Smart family. How are they doing? How is Roxy? I think when I left she was dating Tony Shoell and Rachel is married. Oh and Rick how is he??
Rachel, I love you and I hope you have a wonderful  birthday! Your gonna be 20 dude that is insane.. I'm only 21. stop growing so fast.
