Västra Frölunda has been so amazing this week. I love every minute that I have been here. Both my companions, the senior couple (Andersons), the YSA's, and the ward members are absolutely amazing. We had a fireside last night for the YSA's about being better member missionaries and how to introduce their friends to the gospel. They are so strong. We were only going to do an hour and then said an hour and a half and we still went 10 minutes over. They just soak it all up. We did role plays with them to help them practice what we were teaching. I'm really excited to see what comes from it. We had one baptismal date and on Tuesday we are doing a teach with the Utby elders to give him to them. We found out he is in their area. We really hope it doesn't affect him negatively because his date is so close. His date is for Nov 19th.
So I saw my blog. It looks so good mom! Oh and I can't believe you put the picture up of my cold sore. That was so gross! But oh well.. and I'm like balling my eyes out that was cute. I read Sam's or Elder Ritchie's blog you sent me.. Dillon went home??? what?? Is he okay? Anyway I would like to know more about that.
Coming on a mission rocks because you find out what you really love and what you can't wait to go home and do again. My companions had made a list of things they get to in pants one day. I won't lie that one is good. I get so sick of being in a skirt, but its all good my wardrobe does change. Sister missionaries share everything. Its nice. Although I have like tiny feet compared to everybody. So shoes are no fun. Ha ha mom what's the lyrics to that popcorn popping song but about the frog that Uncle Brad made up? You know what's crazy.. they still have the ice cream man out and about. So crazy. Like its freezing cold outside and really dark and yet you hear the little jingle from the ice cream truck.
There is a woman that did a mormon moment and she talks about how she was saved from the tragedy of 9/11. She didn't even believe in anything before. Then I got to this ward and the woman is here in our ward! She is really cool. She gave the first lesson in relief society on Sunday and I didn't even realize till my companions told me.
Grandma Toby had a few questions and so lets see..The town of Göteborg is really big I think the 2nd biggest in Sweden but our area is smaller than that and its really confusing.. all I know is we share it with elders. I traveled for an hour and a half was all and its on the fast trains. They have amazing public transportation here in Sweden. That's how we get around all over here. They are like little trains that we get on everywhere here its like the little trolly things that take you around Disney land and stuff. Yes the weather here is very much fall. There are leaves everywhere and no snow just cold. The sun goes down super early right now.. it sets at 3:50 pm so that is pretty weird! Yes I keep a missionary journal I hadn't missed a day until I came here but I wont miss anything no worrys! I love going back and reading already so I'll keep it up. I know how important it is.
