The prepared are found!

Kära och Nära

Last week has been amazing. I was sick all week which was no fun, but I had a really good week anyway. S.Jenson and S.Juker had a lot of people to say goodbye to and I felt so bad because I didn't want to get people sick. Well we visited everyone anyway and so far I don't think I got anyone sick. We visited Erik at home and he is doing amazing. He transfers himself and is almost completely independent. I wish all of my patients from home were like him ha ha his attitude is just contagious. And Finland roxx (that was Äldste Mikkola) just a quick shout out I guess haha.

Wednesday morning was insane. I was at the sickest I had been and we had to get both my companions to the train station. The elders came late and if it weren't for Mette (YSA) S.Juker would have missed her train. The funniest was probably everyone that night were like... you should have seen Syster Sprague this morning! I guess I wasn't looking too happy. I used to have this terrible knot in my back and from being sick my body was so tense it had come back. I was in so much pain! Well both my new companions S.Ridl (old comp) and S.Mackey came in before noon. We had a pretty full day so Mette was my companion for most of the day and my new comps were able to unpack for a while. The first day of the transfer and we found a new investigator. Mette was an amazing companion. If she doesn't end up going on her own mission I know she has made a difference in the lives of those seeking for the truth.

Thursday was just as bad when I woke up. For some reason though I didn't want to sit around. It felt so wrong. My companions were like.. you can just take a sick day don't worry. Well I'm a little stubborn and thought if I'm not ready to die or can't stand then we'll go work. We did however visit the vårdcentral. Turns out I'm just sick and natural healing was what they prescribed. We received a referral that day and headed out to find her. Her name is Gisela. We ended up teaching her family and later that night we called an old TU that could never meet and he could. Its amazing the little changes that make a huge difference. So in that one day we found 3 new people and I'm so happy I didn't take a sick day. I am better now too. I know the Lord blesses us when we put his work first.

Gisela invited us over again for Saturday night. She wanted to cook us dinner. It was our first real teach with all three of us there. It went really well actually. When we arrived her brother Steven actually answered the door. He is 28 and inactive. He is living with her for some time. As we were there it was so funny he actually used to live in America and even in Provo Utah. So he kept switching to English. It has become easier for him to speak that. Ha ha and Gisela at one point was like you need to just speak to them in English because you don't make sense in Swedish. So Gisela has 3 kids. Her little family is amazing. She has certainly been prepared. Her parents actually live in Utah right now and her mom is super active. She doesn't want her mom to know that she is meeting with us because she doesn't want to feel pushed, but she is super excited to really read the Book of Mormon and find her testimony or if there is anything. She wrote herself out of the church when she was 18. Then when her parents visited for Christmas they were just talking about the church and she remembered feelings she had had from when she was little. So the other day she ordered a Book of Mormon and the same day we knocked on her door.

Don't be afraid to open your mouth. 'Neither take ye thought beforehand what ye shall say; but treasure up in your minds continually the words of life, and it shall be given you in the very hour that portion that shall be meted unto every man. D&C 84:85 What a promise! I know this isn't meant for just a specific person but everyone. I know that Giselas parents were just sharing what they knew to be true and the things they care about most. For them it may not have even seemed special or well thought out. Just what they think and feel. But the impact it had on Gisela was significant. It may seriously convert her. I know it was because the only true teacher is the spirit and when you speak about whats in your heart, the things that you treasure, the spirit is always there. So go.. talk to someone!!

Thanks for all you do
Love Syster Sprague
