Nära och Kära
First I'm sorry last week was so short. I was going crazy wild with stuff and trying to get an email out was almost impossible. Right now on the other hand I'm in Alingsås at the library and it is absolutely quiet and I am timed ha ha so I kinda just have to get things done and over with ya know.. Well I forgot to say last week 2 huge parts of the week. A girl Frida was baptized in Utby. She is amazing and best friends with a girl here named Danielle. Danielle though moved the very next day to Provo, Utah. I'm hoping that my sister, Rachel is going to find her and they can be friends. Maybe my sister can learn some Swedish before I get home. She would love to come meet my family actually but would never say it so mom you should tell Rachel to go get her one day. Second part of that week was on Sunday Syster Ridl had a seizure. That is also why it was hard to email we had to go to the vårdcentral (hospital). Can you believe it though.. they don't have word for just a seizure. Sometimes I love Swedish and other times you just can't say what you want. Well it was all kinda scary but she okay and yes mom Syster Ridl would seriously love love love Insanity! She was asking me for it ha ha I couldn't give it up. I think I will go out and get me a blender again, but now it will have to wait for next week but man do I look forward to that.
So this week, Wednesday, I moved to Alingsås and my first night here we had församlingsråd (ward counsel) so I met a lot of the ward members there. We had dinner and met with a lot of other people who are being worked with. It was awesome to me how fast I met people and could put faces to names. We see members everyday just out and even people we teach because the area is so small. One is our buss driver. I absolutely love it. The ward is without a doubt the best I have ever seen. They really jump in and help with the missionary work. A lot of times the ward members drive us places because the busses here like the schedules are terrible and on Sundays they don't run at all. So even though the town is small it would take a good while to walk to church. Maybe 45 min.
I love Syster Erickson! She is an amazing missionary and just an all around amazing person. She goes home in March. March 15th to be exact haha. I'm happy to be with her right before she goes home. We speak Swedish everywhere except the apartment. That is exciting! The people here are riktig swedish! So the ward has no idea that S. Erickson is going home that soon. That makes me kinda nervous because I will be here awhile and they love her so that means I got some big shoes to fill. So far though the ward is just happy to have sisters and I feel very welcomed in. I gave a talk on Sunday and told them all how to uttala (pronounce) my name. So what I have found to be the best word most like Sprague is plague. Its terrrible but that is how you say it so everyone gets a good laugh that Syster Sprague is like a plague. Funny thing though.. lots of people call me Spragooo (cuz they all think they are the first to think of it) and people at home call me that too. I don't think anyone else in the family has that for a nickname though. Weird stuff.
I love to see change! Especially when the change came from the influence of what God wants. Just knowing you are where you are supposed to be feels awesome. Everyday I write in my journal I'm just over joyed with all that is going on here. We are working with a girl who's parents just became active and her little brother who is 15 just got baptized and she is 18. So she is old enough to go to the center in Göteborg and I was already there and know everyone so its like perfect that I came here so I can help her get to the center and make some friends there and hopefully she will get baptized before Syster Erickson goes home!!!
Love and Miss all of you so much!
Love Syster Sprague
