Bönens Makt!!!

(Prayer Power!!!)

Hej hej all my loved ones!

We have had a good week in Alinsås. Many people who are really progressing. We have really built up a good relationship with the ward in a short amount of time too. A family has us over almost every night, which has been amazing because every family and almost every person has a referral for us. We pray for a lot of them and even visited one this week. Members are a real part of missionary work here. I am so happy to just be apart of it. Syster Erickson has been teaching me a lot. She is such a good example of dedicated hard work and enjoying of minute of it. I have felt much more confident in my Swedish abilities and I feel like my heart has swollen to be double the size it was. I love this area, people, members, and companion so much! We think about Christ a lot through out the day also and I feel like my love for the Savior has expanded.

My goodness we had the coolest thing happen. We had a dinner with a woman AnnMarie and we instead made it a lunch because it worked better and she was going to have her grandchildren over to celebrate one of their birthdays. Her husband is not a member and S.Erickson was hoping I could talk to him and connect with him, but he ended up not being home. We were pretty sad but these two boys were ages 10 and 7 and they are also not members. AnnMarie wanted us to watch a video some missionaries made so we did and the boys played video games during it, but they noticed that during the video their grandma was crying. Of course not because she is sad but she was happy and filled with the spirit. After it finished we gave our message and it was about prayer. The boys actually read scriptures with us and stopped playing video games. They said if they could pray it would be for their mom to find an apartment before March. So we said a kneeling prayer together and AnnMarie asked that her daughter could find an apartment. The very next day we received a call from AnnMarie saying her daughter is now on the top of the list and should have no problem finding a place, which in Västra Fölunda I guess is super hard. What a miracle!! The best part was those boys. I hope they will never forget that experience.

The next day I was reading in The Book of Mormon. In the book of Mormon ha ha Chapter 9 and it talks about God being a God of miracles. I know that he is a God of miracles because I see them everyday. In verse 9 we read how God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So if you are not seeing miracles everyday then I can promise you if you look a little harder you will see them. Because I know he has performed miracles in the past and I can still see them today and because he does not change they will continue to happen. So watch for them. Write them down. Show Heavenly Father you appreciate those moments whether they are big or small. In verses 20 we read that the only thing that stops miracles is our lack of faith, but in 21 when we do have faith (in swedish it says utan att tvivla) so without any doubt.. the things we ask for will happen. My favorite part of the chapter is verses 36 and 37 probably because we just had a member tell us that we could pray for his nephew but that he wasn't going to because he didn't think his nephew would change. But I know every one who has a testimony of Christ and his gospel.. desires that all be restored to the knowledge of Christ. This restoration comes after the prayers of the saints.. meaning all those with a testimony. We have a responsibility to pray for those who are lost and can't find the path and our prayers will be answered according to our faith. And if I'm not mistaken true faith moves us to action so the bare minimum we could do is pray.
Read Mormon 9.. it rocks :)

Oh did I tell you that I played Innebundy for the first time. Its like hockey kinda like street hockey but without a hockey puck.. it a ball with holes so not easy...

Thank you so much for your hard work I appreciate all the support.

Love Syster Sprague
